Email #15 - South Wing Diptych

Certainly the big pleasant surprise for me over at Architecture Hall has been the big open spaces of the top floor wings, and especially the attic catwalk structure. As demolition at the center of the building has progressed, I've been able to move the camera further back and show even more this structure.

The top color photo (July 21) contains only one reference point from the building as you knew it: the yellow wall on right and "2" signage at the top of the south grand staircase. The black & white photo was taken a week later when even more of the attic structure was revealed.

On another subject:

Quite a few of you responded to the "Bare Naked Stairs" email and follow up email: "Elaine Remembers 202 Before 202" (#13a). Catherine Barrett, Brian Johnson and Trina Deines all had similar student memories of sneaking up spiral stairs to the rooftop in the 1970's. And what Brian Johnson saw up there one day....oh my goodness...you'd better ask him.

Does anyone of have interior photos of the building from that time, or before the 1980's renovation?
