Email #21 - Steel Column Follow Up

Here is another photo of the same space seen in the previous email, except several days later.

The concrete rubble pile has been cleaned up, and they've added a very bright construction light on the ceiling. It's obnoxious to the eye, but nevertheless photographs well because it doesn't cause too much flare, and its color temperature is very close to daylight.

At first glance it looks like the cylindrical ceiling lamp is casting a rectangular beam pattern on the floor. How can that be?

It can't be. The light on the floor is direct sunlight coming in through an open skylight.
