Email #53 - Wall Framing in North Wing
The building is moving fast now and I go there almost every day. So I'll continue to send out more emails even though most of you are on break and might not see them until January. If you think I'm sending too many, you can call me Mr. Spamets.
The attached triptych in black & white was taken in the NE quadrant of the first floor. The hallway view is looking south with the new Architecture Faculty offices on the left and the new Archive Room on the right. Compared to the old hallway at this location, this one is wider.
The perspectives in these photographs were driven by the mini-floor plans visible through the framing. Now is that magic moment in the construction schedule when you can "walk thru walls" and "look thru walls" to see how empty space becomes divided into small rooms.
Although these photos were taken in color digital, I desaturated them to black & white because I found the color was distracting from the message.
