Email #69 - South Wing Takes Flight Steel framing and some gypsum board for most of the major walls in the South Wing studio rooms have now been installed. For the first time you can see the final form of these rooms, as shown here in the SW quadrant of the second floor. The view is looking south at two architecture studio spaces which will be separated by a divider wall, represented here by its three-legged skeleton. On either side, the divider wall will remain open for circulation between the studios. Note that the Catwalk Plenum has been largely concealed, but its form is still expressed with that short wall seen aloft. I like that. Even better, the final ceiling will be sloped as seen here and the concrete beams will be exposed. The high ceilings in the old building were great, but it looks like these ceilings will be even higher. John Stamets See also #65 and #70
