Email #73 - North Wing Progress

Certainly my most memorable impressions as a witness to renovation of the Architecture Hall has been the exposed Catwalk Attic structures on the upper floors of both the North and South Wings. No amount of studying plans & sections could match the experience of seeing them stripped back to their pure 1908 structure in a big empty room. What a treat!

Now they have been covered in both wings. The top photo of the North Wing taken Jan. 2 is the last view of the whole structure before interior wall construction began. The bottom photo in black & white was taken last Friday Feb. 23 from the same location. Eventually a new wall will block the view of the NW Studios as well.
