Email #79 - First Floor Transom Vents, Or Not

Following up on the 2nd floor transom issues raised in the previous email ("The Green Question") here are some photos of 1st floor windows with and without accessible transom vents.

In the NW classroom in the top photo taken today, you can see that the new dropped ceiling completely covers the transoms above the windows. Indeed there is that Big Salamander in the ceiling that will be huffin' and puffin' to keep you ventilated the mechanized way.

In the NE quadrant of the first floor, there will be operable transom vents for natural ventilation in the new faculty offices along the east wall. (Not). Two of these rooms are shown in the bottom photos taken on January 8. The transoms above the windows have been temporarily stuffed with fiberglass insulation, which is still there today. However, the stuffing will be removed later, and operable transom vents will be installed. (Not).

The SE and SW quadrant offices will have similar operable transom vents above the windows. (Not).
