Email #82 - Plenum of Mysteries Up in the Attic Here's what the top of the North Wing breather walls look like where they top-off up in the attic, aka the Catwalk Plenum. That's them on the floor with the vents facing right. From there the upcoming air should be pulled naturally along the plenum to the cupola (somewhere behind the camera) and then out the building. There was a light breeze up there when I took these pictures, so maybe it's working already. The horizontal ducts on left are part of the building's mechanized air flow, which I've not yet studied-up on. Note the new cross bracing in bottom photo. But what are those windows all about? Or are they vents? John Stamets See also #65 and #83 |
