Email #cc – Steam Pipe Plays On

Here is a recent photo of the "Live" steam pipe still carrying steam through the basement of Architecture Hall en route to other university buildings. Did any of you know it was there? I didn't, until I saw it.

Where is the steam coming from, and where does it go? If a back-hoe breaks the pipe, what other buildings are affected? Who amongst you - most august faculty - can answer?

The stairs at center will eventually be demolished, but not the columns. At least I hope not! The stairs will be replaced eventually.

I took this photo in color digital, then subtracted the color except for the pipe and red warning tape.
