Application Server


What is the Application Server?

The Appliction Server allows you to run applications that are not installed on your local computer from a remote server. This service works on both Mac's and PC's over any internet connection and all you need is the free Citrix client installed to your local system.

Getting Started

Before you get started using Citrix applications at CAUP there are some procedures to be followed as well as vital information to be conveyed. Please review the instructions carefully. An overview of the material is as follows:

Quick Login Info

Server Login Address: https://citrix.caup.washington.edu

User Name: Your UW Net ID
Password: Your UW Net ID Password
Domain: netid

 

Next Steps

Browsers

  • When connecting to Citrix, we recommend using either IE (PC) or Safari (Mac).
  • We have encountered issues when trying to connect to Citrix with Firefox (PC), and therefore we are not supporting Firefox at this time.

Other

After you close the application that you were working with, you may browse using the up arrow and pick another folder and application. Otherwise, if you are done using Citrix, don't forget to logoff.
