Safety: Quick Information

NightRide Shuttle
If you live within one mile of campus either to the north, east, or west, and it's after 8:00 pm, let NightRide take you home. NightRide operates Sunday through Thursday. Visit http://www.uwshuttles.com for more information.
Husky NightWalk

The hours of operation for these uniformed guards are 6:00 pm-2:00 am, Monday thru Sunday (7 days week). Although aiding primarily on foot, the guards have a mini van available to assist personnel via vehicle when needed. In addition, they are equipped to lend a hand to people, with proper identification, who cannot get into their offices, areas, or vehicles for one reason or another. They also can assist with jump starts for dead batteries, and are extra eyes and ears in parking lots and other UW facilities. Crime Prevention
The UWPD Crime Prevention Unit provides training on Personal Safety, Workplace Violence Prevention, Workplace Security Plans, Theft Prevention and other subjects.
