I offer instruction in real estate, city planning, and management. My research interests include market analysis techniques with a particular emphasis on housing. I joined the faculty in 1985 and bring a broad range of professional experience to the Department, having been former president of Urban Properties Company--a real estate development firm--and former executive director of the Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority. I have also been involved with diverse architectural projects and was formerly a partner with David A. Crane and Associates of Philadelphia. In Philadelphia, I taught at the University of Pennsylvania in its program in Civic Design. I received my Bachelor of Architecture degree at Iowa State University and my Master of Architecture and City Planning degrees at the University of Pennsylvania.
