CURRICULUM VITA
Education
Master of Landscape Architecture, University of Washington
K-12 education lifetime certification, University of California at Los
Angeles
Bachelor of Arts, Scripps College, Art History and Humanities
Over the past three decades two significant threads have been interwoven
throughout my life experience, that of teaching and landscape design, to
create the fabric that is my professional life. My interest in education
has early roots in my first teaching experiences in schools for disadvantaged,
educationally handicapped children. Simultaneously, my interest in landscape
design flourished. Today, I derive great satisfaction both from my interaction
with students at the University of Washington's Department of Landscape
Architecture as they learn the professional skills needed to be landscape
architects and from my design practice with clients interested in connecting
with their environment.
