Kogane Pocket Park Design-Build

After the Global Classrooms collaboration, the Chiba students and faculty followed through with a proposal emerged from the collaboration to create a pocket park on the historic shopping street. Neighborhood resident Mr. Takahashi provided a corner of his garden, about the size of a parking space, as the site. Local children were involved to create the tile mosaic. The pocket park was opened and dedicated on March 31, 2004. The event was broadcast on NHK local news.
