"To be what we are, and to become what we are capable of becoming is the only end in life."

Robert Louis Stevenson

"Landscape Architecture students are a nice combination of artists/scientists. It has been rewarding watching them grow into their role of "stewards of the earth." The Department is small (around 100 students, half graduate and half undergraduate). They all get to know each other and their professors. They leave here with polished skills in design, research, public speaking, graphics, computers, project management, interviewing, working in groups, policy making and envisioning a better world. The faculty and students are involved in the community and use real life projects for class. They are focused and committed to the environment. "
