Bicycle Strategies and Solutions in Copenhagen -

ABSTRACT
Copenhagen is arguably the best city for cyclists in the world.  There are many reasons the city of 1.8 million is thronged with cyclists. But mostly it is because the bicycle holds the same status as public transport when it comes to planning and both are a higher priority in planning than the car. 

SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Brian has been working as a transport planner for last 5 years in the Technical and Environmental Administration of the City of Copenhagen.  He heads a small unit that works with strategic planning projects within transport, including bicycle planning.  In addition, he is currently involved with projects concerning congestion  charging,  low emission  zones, new  bridges across the harbor, urban development of the  waterfront as well as a new municipal plan.  He has  an M.Sc. in urban planning and has worked at as a private consultant in transport planning before joining the City of Copenhagen.
