Grant Hildebrand is a University of Washington Professor Emeritus of Architecture and Art History. He is the author of several books on architecture, and is a recipient of the University's Distinguished Teaching Award and the Washington Governor's Writer's Award. He will speak on the subject of one of his recent books, a late and little-known residential masterpiece by Frank Lloyd Wright, addressing especially the role of the clients in the design process, and their experiences and reactions to the house during their 50 years of occupancy.
