Lecture Summary
As we continue to question our society's ever increasing reliance upon automated systems we also endeavor to make the appropriate use of advances in technology. Our completed buildings and competition designs are evidence of an architecture, which is not only of high quality but also environmentally responsible. On-going investigations into and monitoring of built projects enable us to make well-founded recommendations to our clients. Our architectural approach is enriched by design strategies addressing issues such as embodied energy influencing the palette of materials- and equations of operational costs as against investment. Our work is based on the belief and confidence that high-quality built environments can be realized with less consumption of natural resources. Curiosity, commodity, and delight drive this process to discover new topics and technologies, and to improve upon what has already been achieved.
