Overview
The Real Estate Forum (formally, URBDP 598 R) is a one-credit graduate class that is graded on a pass/fail basis. It is a speaker-series and features a number of senior real estate professionals who are leaders in their respective professional associations. The objective of the class is to provide students with an opportunity to learn about the breadth of the interdisciplinary field of real estate as well as the depth of knowledge the various professionals need to bring to the table to solve complex real estate problems. The speakers will share their career paths, insights and "lessons learned."
The individual sessions blend formal presentations with informal Q&A, providing students with an opportunity to explore various issues in an interactive format. The speakers represent a variety of real estate specialties and national/regional associations. This will provide students with an opportunity to learn about different career options, understand how to prepare for specific career paths, and help develop the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their careers.
