, Director ld Hall,

Non-CAUP, UW Faculty Borrowing:

Faculty in other University departments may have access to the Collection, but may not borrow slides that directly impact the teaching of CAUP faculty. The borrowing period for non-CAUP faculty is 48 hours. Non-CAUP borrowers should speak to the Director of Visual Resources for any requests that require an extension of borrowing privileges.

Non-CAUP faculty should ask the Collection staff for assistance in creating check-out cards for themselves. They may return slides to a bin without a name on it, with a card identifying them as the borrower.

Non-CAUP Faculty who wish to use the Collection's slides should introduce themselves to Collection staff when they first visit. They must leave their full names, departments, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses on the faculty slide borrowing form.

Non-CAUP Faculty MAY NOT...
remove a semester's worth of lecture slides at once
keep slides for long periods in their offices
remove slides from the collection for the duration of a sabbatical
send slides through the mail
use slides for anything other than class-related educational purposes
duplicate slides in any format (analog or digital) without discussing this with the Director beforehand.
